Hailey called today with the big news that she is pregnant with our first grandchild! You were so looking forward to this milestone and it makes me sad that you weren’t here to share the announcement. But at about seven weeks, that means the baby was conceived before you passed; and I think somehow you may have known.
We never got to talk about what we wanted our grandchildren to call us. I am sorry that none of them will get to know you in person; but we will tell them your story and share our memories of you so they will have a connection.
