I am sitting at the kitchen table looking out the big picture window that you insisted we have put in. From here, I can see the entire northern half of our farm including the barn; and currently the horses are in view grazing and patiently waiting for me to bring them in for the morning feeding.
This window project was perhaps your best home improvement suggestion yet, and I regret that I didn’t make it happen sooner so you could have enjoyed it longer. Not only does it provide a wonderful view of our tranquil domain, but it also infuses much needed light in what was before a rather dreary dark space.
Every time I look out this window with its view and light, I think of you; and I am grateful for your ideas like this one that are imbued with a part of your memory.
